By the way, these folks have an herb sale coming up soon.
Want to make a cup of fresh herbal tea? Take 1 heaping tablespoon of fresh bruised herbs and steep in a cup of boiling water for five minutes or so, add some honey if you like. (Lemon balm and LemonVerbena are excellent candidates for this.)

The "formal" herb garden - however, I like to use herbs throughout the yard. Herbs are hearty, and it is fun to run around the yard crunching them up to smell them. The bees really like the African Blue Basil that blooms all summer long with purple spires of flowers.
This herb garden has Marjoram, Thyme, Echinacea, Lemon Balm, Lemon
Verbena, Ashwaganda, Rosemary, Dill, an Australian Tea Tree, St. Johns
Wart, and Pineapple Sage. A few roses are in their midst as well.
All of the herbs have done well for the last two years. The only exception being Lemon Balm and St. Johns Wart, both of which tend to have a hard time in the heat of the summer.
